Why did we move from Buderim to Woombye?

Posted by Amelia Hollis on

One of the most frequently asked questions we've received lately is, "Why did we make the move from Buderim to Woombye?" Well, it's a story that's been years in the making, and we're excited to share it with you.

Six years ago, when I first became the owner of Buds, I had a vision in mind – a vision of a cottage-inspired, warm, and homely studio space. I've always had a deep affection for that cozy, cottage feeling, and I tried my best to infuse it into our Buderim store. However, no matter how hard I worked on it, it never quite felt like home.

Then, in January 2023, something extraordinary happened. I was offered an incredible space and building right here in Woombye. It was one of those moments when you just know it's the right decision without any hesitation. I had always found myself driving out to Woombye several times a week to collect our locally sourced flowers and foliage, and each time I passed by this very shop, it felt like a place I could truly call home. So, when the opportunity to move presented itself, I jumped at it without a second thought. (I suppose manifesting does indeed work!)

Though I miss our loyal Buderim customers dearly, I can't help but feel a profound sense of happiness and belonging here in Woombye. After being in business for over 5 years, it became evident that change was necessary. This new chapter not only allows us to embrace a fresh start but also to better serve you, our cherished customers.

The good news is, even with our change in location, our commitment to serving you remains unwavering. We continue to deliver to all the same delivery locations across the Sunshine Coast, with some exciting additions up north. Our mission remains unchanged – to bring the beauty of fresh blooms to your doorstep and make your moments memorable, no matter where you are on the Sunshine Coast.

Thank you for being part of our journey, and we can't wait to share this exciting new chapter with you.
